Assets
The Assets page (titled Status in the app) is a live, table-based view of your entire fleet. It pulls current data from Wialon and shows each unit as a row, refreshing automatically so positions, speeds, and sensor states stay up to date. Where the Map is best for seeing where vehicles are, Assets is best for scanning what state every vehicle is in and drilling into details.
The Fleet Table
Each row is a single unit (vehicle) from your Wialon account. The table uses virtual rendering, so it stays fast even with hundreds of vehicles.
Choosing Columns
The table can show a large set of fields, organized into groups so you can display only what you need:
- Static — fixed vehicle details (name, brand, model, VIN, registration plate).
- Dynamic — live state (position, speed, direction, last message time).
- Counters — accumulating values such as odometer and engine hours.
- Sensors — values from sensors configured on the unit in Wialon.
Use the column control in the toolbar to turn individual columns on or off. Hiding fields you rarely reference makes the table easier to scan.
Filtering and Grouping
Table Filters
Add filters to focus on a subset of the fleet. Filters work per column with operators such as equals, contains, greater than, and is empty, so you can build precise conditions — for example, units whose speed is greater than 0 (moving), or whose name contains a depot code.
Group By
Use Group by to cluster rows under collapsible headers — for example by Wialon group. Each group shows a row count. Filtering and column selection continue to work while grouping is active. Choose None to return to a flat list.
Unit Details
Click a unit to open its detail panel. It shows the unit's live metrics and sensor values, including:
| Metric | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Spd | Current speed |
| Odo | Odometer / total distance |
| Eng h | Engine hours |
| Dir | Direction of travel |
| Sat | GPS satellite count |
The panel includes a Show on map action, which opens the unit's current location in Google Maps in a new tab.
The values available for each unit depend on its Wialon configuration. A unit without a VIN, registration plate, or a given sensor will leave those fields blank.
Exporting
The fleet table can be exported for use in spreadsheets or reports. Apply any filters you want reflected first, then use the export control in the toolbar.
The export reflects the data at the moment you run it. Because fleet status updates in real time, exporting again a few minutes later can produce slightly different position or speed values.
Understanding Sensor States
The Sensors columns and detail panel show the current state of the sensors configured on each unit's GPS device — ignition, doors, fuel level, and any custom inputs mapped in Wialon. What appears depends entirely on your Wialon configuration.
If a unit shows no sensor values, either it has no sensors configured in Wialon or its device does not report sensor data. Contact your Wialon administrator to verify the setup.
Refresh Behavior
The Assets page refreshes automatically at a regular interval, so you do not need to reload the page to receive updated positions or sensor states. A brief loading indicator appears during each refresh.
