Eco-Driving Overview
The Eco-Driving section scores how your fleet is driven. It reads the eco-driving criteria already configured in your Wialon account — harsh braking, rapid acceleration, sharp cornering, speeding, idling and any custom criteria — and turns the recorded violations into a driving score per vehicle and per driver.
The section has three tabs:

Switch tabs from the dropdown in the page title. The unit selector and date range in the toolbar apply to all three.
Where the Criteria Come From
FleetTAB does not define its own violation rules. It reads the eco-driving criteria settings stored on your Wialon units, including each criterion's thresholds and its penalty weight.
This means:
- The report columns are your criteria, under your names, in your language.
- Renaming a criterion in Wialon renames the column here.
- If a unit has no criteria configured, it produces no violations and no score.
Wialon's criterion families are all supported: Harsh Acceleration, Harsh Braking, Sharp Turns, Speeding, Sensor Violations, Harsh Driving, and Excessive Idling.
To check which of your units report eco-driving data at all, use the Events data-completeness matrix under Reports. Units with no eco-driving criteria are skipped by the report entirely.
How the Score Works
Each vehicle (or driver) gets a Driving Score from 0 to 100.
- Every violation is multiplied by the penalty weight of its criterion.
- The weighted violations are added up.
- The total is divided by how much the unit drove, so a vehicle that covers more ground is not penalized for it.
- The result is expressed as a score out of 100, where 100 means no weighted violations.
You choose what "how much it drove" means with the Metric setting:
- Distance — violations are measured per kilometre driven.
- Duration — violations are measured per unit of driving time. Useful for machines and city work, where distance understates exposure.
Scores are color-banded into Excellent, Good, Average, and Poor, using thresholds you can change (see Scores). Units with no distance or driving time in the period cannot be scored and are sorted to the bottom of the table rather than shown as 100.
If every vehicle lands in the same band, the Wialon penalty weights are probably too large for your fleet. Lower the Penalty multiplier in the settings panel to ×0.1 or ×0.01 to spread the scores out.
Date Range and Units
The toolbar at the top of the section controls what is scored:
- Unit selector — pick individual units or groups. With nothing selected, all units are included.
- Date range — a calendar with the usual presets. All three tabs recalculate against the selected period.
Data is cached briefly, so switching between tabs within the same period is instant.
