FAQ
How do I connect to Wialon?
FleetTAB connects to Wialon using an API token. Generate a 72-character token in your Wialon account settings and paste it into FleetTAB under Settings > Wialon Token.
See Connecting to Wialon for a full overview, or go directly to Token Authentication for step-by-step instructions.
Can I use FleetTAB on mobile?
Yes. FleetTAB is designed to work well on mobile devices, not just on desktop. The interface adapts to smaller screens, and the most commonly used views — trip lists, unit status, driver assignments — are optimized for one-handed use on a phone.
The KPI Dashboard is accessible on mobile but is primarily designed for desktop use, where a larger screen makes the grid layout more practical.
For the best mobile experience, add FleetTAB to your home screen using your browser's "Add to Home Screen" option. This gives you a full-screen app-like experience without the browser navigation bar.
What is the difference between business and personal trips?
When reviewing trip history, each trip can be classified as either business or personal. This classification is used for reporting and compliance purposes — for example, separating reimbursable business mileage from personal use.
Classification can be set manually on individual trips or applied automatically using rules based on time of day, day of week, or geofence zones (if configured in your Wialon account). Trips that have not been classified appear as unclassified until reviewed.
The business/personal classification in FleetTAB is stored locally and does not modify data in Wialon itself.
How do I export data?
FleetTAB provides export options on several pages:
- Trips table: Use the Export button above the table to download trip data as CSV or PDF.
- KPI Dashboard: Use the Export PDF button in the dashboard toolbar to generate a PDF snapshot of the current layout.
- Reports: The Reports section can be exported as PDF or CSV.
All exports reflect the currently active date range and unit filter.
My data is not loading — what should I check?
If FleetTAB is not showing data or is displaying loading indicators that never resolve, work through the following checks:
-
Wialon connection: Go to Settings and confirm the connection status in the Account Info section shows as connected. If it shows an error, re-enter your token.
-
Token expiry: Check whether your token has expired in your Wialon account settings.
-
Date range: Make sure the selected date range is not in the future and covers a period when your vehicles were active.
-
Unit selection: If the unit filter is set to a specific unit or group, confirm that the selected units have data for the chosen period.
-
Permissions: Your Wialon account may not have permission to access certain data types. Contact your Wialon administrator to confirm that your account has access to units, events, and reports.
-
Browser console: Open the browser developer tools (F12) and check the Console and Network tabs for error messages. Error codes from the Wialon API (such as code 7 for access denied, or code 4 for invalid parameters) can help pinpoint the issue.
If you see error code 1 in the browser console, your Wialon session is invalid. Re-enter your token in Settings to restore access.
If none of the above resolves the issue, contact support with the specific error message and the date range and units you were trying to load.
